Student exchange possibilities for OSAO s students are a step closer
A group of OSAO’s international partners were invited to OSAO in order to plan reciprocal student exchange periods. In the near future OSAO’s students are able to apply either On-the-job learning or student exchange mobilities.
OSAO’s international network was further strengthened as our Erasmus+ project Let’s Go! invited partners from four European vocational colleges to visit OSAO. All together eight representatives from Netherlands, Germany and UK arrived in Oulu at the beginning of February 2015 for three-day visit. In addition Haukipudas and Kaukovainio’s Technology units had simultaneously visitors from Denmark who also participated the programme.
During guests’ OSAO visit we showed them our units in Haukipudas, Myllytulli, Kaukovainio (Technology and Business & Administration) and Kempele. Tourism students guided the group around Oulu city center giving the guests an interesting peek to Oulu’s attractions. On Thursday evening we gathered in Myllytulli unit’s Innomylly to mingle and enjoy hospitability provided by our catering students and SAKUstars competitors.
The last morning of the visit was reserved for building a framework for student exchange periods. The aim of student exchanges is to send and receive students to study short periods in a partner college. We proceeded within a good understanding and as an outcome our students will be offered student exchange periods starting from next semester.
The represented partner colleges were Landstede and Rijn Ijssel from Netherlands, Friedrich List Schule from Germany, The City of Liverpool College from UK and Silkeborg from Denmark.
