New Campus in Oulu by 2032

OSAO is building a new campus in the Kaukovainio area of Oulu. Construction will begin in 2026, and the new campus will be fully completed by 2032. The estimated total cost of the project is €112.2 million.
The new campus will bring together a significant share of OSAO’s education in the fields of technology, health and welfare, and services.
The future campus will consist of both newly constructed buildings and renovated existing ones. In addition to physical construction, the project also includes a renewal of operational culture and practices. We are updating both the learning and working environments to better respond to pedagogical, financial, and environmental development needs.
Modern physical and virtual environments, combined with increasingly needs-driven practices, will strengthen OSAO’s high-quality pedagogy and cooperation with working life.
This project also prepares us for the vocational education environment beyond 2030. The focus is on students and their diverse learning paths. The development work is carried out in collaboration with students, OSAO staff, representatives of working life, stakeholders, and campus developers through ongoing dialogue.
