Alcohol passport training prepares participants for the Alcohol Passport test, which is taken at the end of the training. You may also choose to participate in the Alcohol Passport test only.

The purpose of the test is to assess whether a person has sufficient knowledge of alcohol legislation and to obtain the certificate referred to in Sections 57 and 58 of the Alcohol Act (1102/2017) and Sections 6 and 7 of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health Decree (158/2018), commonly known as the Alcohol Passport (Anniskelupassi). The certificate demonstrates that the holder is familiar with the regulations governing the serving of alcoholic beverages.

The test is based on the training programme, which follows the Serving of Alcoholic Beverages guidelines issued by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira). The training and test are conducted in Finnish. If you are taking only the test, it can be completed in either Finnish or English.
